What you choose to do life is all dependent on your goals and means to achieve them. With the right choice of methods and goals, yields the right results. On the other hand, wring choice of techniques leads to wrong results.  All things that we do is directly or indirectly affect the goals we set. This implies that we are responsible for our own progress.

In line with being responsible for the excuses and lots of complaints. This basically shows that when you fall short of realizing your set objectives, most likely you begin to blame others. The excuses and complaints are as a result of frustrations of falling short of achieving your objectives. Playing the blame game does not resolve frustrations associated with failure or shortcoming.

Complaints and excuses move you backward but suggestions push you forward. Stop making more excuses than you give suggestions. You are your worst enemy; Quit complaining and begin moving forward.

Get out of your own way of success

We all have dreams and aspirations in life, however, there are days that we may not be favoring this. On those, ‘low days’ one may experience negative feelings and emotions or behave contrary to the dreams. It is normal to feel down, which may obscure the process through which we achieve the dreams.

On a race track there may be stones, ideally, you shall skip or avoid the stones so that your running. After passing by these stones, running becomes easy and you will get to the finish line happy and fulfilled. You can all relate to this racing track in your life. In the same, the race track is your life and the stones are the feelings, behaviors. The ‘stones steer you away from or off the track.

Since the ‘stones’ are hindrances; devices methods to either get the stones out of your way or circumnavigate them. This way your pathway is clear and you shall move forward towards achieving your dreams and goals.

Get rid of all negative items, self-destructive behaviors and move toward to your race’s finish line.

Today is a bitter and sweet day; it is the 11th of September and it brings chills to my spine. It has been 16years since the tragic 9/11. On this day the tragic events led to the death of several people both physically, emotionally and mentally. This is the bitter truth concerning this particular day. It is during this time that many have lost property, loved ones and also those that have lost their lovely and caring pets due to the Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. This is heart breaking.

However, there is a sweet thing that emanates from this incident. Instead of crying and moaning of the befallen, let us celebrate the heroes. Those who lost their lives on this fateful day are living as heroes and heroines in our hearts. Let’s come together and honor heroes. Let’s talk about heroes in all of us. Let’s love and be kind to one another.

The bonding as a nation and the entire world after the tragic events of 9/11. This bonding has become the basis of kindness and love for one another. It is not about how hard you fall, but how smart you get up and remain standing. 9/11 is not all about the events that happened in the US but we all have experienced those down moments that may or may not have been similar to this (9/11). let us dust off ourselves and triumph and remain standing. Let us uplift, love and be kind to one another.

Mental Health

While living a healthier lifestyle, food and exercise have a role to play. Most people ignore the importance of mental health. In this posts, I shall be shedding light on what mental health entails, importances and tips on have been healthy mentally.

What is mental health?
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.

Mental health includes our emotional, social and psychological well being. mental health problems occur as a result of imbalances in the either emotional, social and psychological well being. in the incident of a headache, we are quick to a pain killer without taking a deep thought of the why. At times, a headache is a symptom as opposed to it being the real problem. for example, having an abrupt headache can be associated with a hit on the head or prolonged stress. the later touches on mental health.

Signs and Symptoms of Mental Health Problems

  • Racing heart beat
  • Lack of motivation
  • Feeling really down
  • Lack of self-esteem
  • Unable to sleep or insomnia
  • Difficult breathing
  • Over worrying
  • Racing thoughts *at times irrelevant

In addition to other health issues, mental health needs to be aired more than it does. people should also be aware of Stigma against mental health problems and stop the stigmatization.
Mental health is just as important as physical health.

Cheers to A New Month!!

A new month is an opportunity to explore new things as well take stock of what we have and the activities we have undertaken. Take time to reflect and evaluate August, what went well, bad and what you want to continue, stop and probably the pending matters. This way you will be on track with your goals and aspirations for 2017.

As we match into September, do not be too caught up with fulfilling your goals for the month. Be on the look for opportunities which can either be fruitfully in the short term or long term.

As you plan on what to accomplish this month, here is my intention for September:

My goal this month is to dedicate more time to my blog and produce more content.

Listening is one of the soft skills that may not be taught but developed over time. Otherwise, we may become poor listeners. Listening is a great skill to learn and
Here a few items to note while listening, really listen to one another:

  • Listening to people brings out your love and concern for them.
  • Giving one your time, you give them a portion your life.
  • A listening eye is an act of kindness. Make kindness your lifestyle and not a time show.

Friendship isn’t a big thing, it’s a million little things such as listening.

Learn to be an amazing listener.

To The Dads

Father’s day is a day dedicated to honoring and celebrating fatherhood. The day is dated from way back in the 1980s and since then it’s commemorated by over 40 countries. Father’s day os held on the 3rd Sunday of June in most countries. This day also complements the Mother’s day.
Many people take the initiative to pamper their fathers’ and grandfathers by sending gift cards among other gifts.

Hello April!

Hello Everyone, another month is here! Every new month is a new chance to be happy, make memories and draw up new plans.

April is here! This is a vital celebration month such as December is with Christmas.

What is in for us this month?

With schools closed, this is the time of the year, we get to celebrate Easter. This is not restricted by religion or faith, but everyone gets to do something out of the norm. The Easter holiday is an important season, especially for Christians. They commemorate the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The celebration begins on Good Friday and ends on Easter Monday. The celebrations normally include church attendance.

The season is also celebrated with a symbol of eggs ‘Easter eggs’. The Easter eggs are said to symbolize the empty tomb that was left behind when Jesus rose from the dead. This Easter egg symbol has been attributed to other pagan practices.

For the others, they opt to go out of their way and help the vulnerable or less fortunate in the society. This may be part of the organization you work or school you go to or a group of friend(s) initiative.

Others go out for Easter related events such as Easter egg hunts. These events such as Easter egg hunt or Easter painting enable people to reconnect and have fun.

In addition to Easter eggs, Easter bunnies are also part of the Easter celebrations. These are exciting especially for kids.  At times it involves children baking goods -like cookies and other pastries shaped like bunnies.

May your last months’ failures be your successes this month.

Anything that anyone can do, I can do it too.

Nothing in this world is impossible. You are beyond the impossible. What has been done earlier, can be done better. There is always room for improvement. Look at the evolution of the electric bulb and other innovations done in the 19th century and even the 18th century. People have improved on them and change the world. That which has not been done is waiting to be done or discover by someone else. Why not do it yourself? Take the leap of faith and do it.
What is hindering you from your success is you. Every is an opportunity but what makes the difference is what you get or make of it.
