I have held my opinion on the Las Vegas attack for a few days while trying to wrap my mind around what just happen. I hope all of my readers and fellow bloggers and their families are okay.
The thought of a retiree maliciously aim to kill people, boggles my mind and breaks my heart. I feel that the whole world needs an explanation for this massacre.
On the other hand, I may not understand what lead the 64-year-old to this point. Other than this particular shooting, there have been many other shootings. All these shootings seem to be gaining strength recently and it is scary. But am not here to defend him, I am more concerned about the victims and their families.
Some or most of the fans at the concert may be in dire need of mental health services. Depending on the intensity of the effects, their needs may differ. There are those fans who would require specialized psychiatrist while others will recuperate with the help and support from family and friends.
In addition to hurt and trauma faced by the victims (the people present at the Las Vegas shooting), the world is hurting too. In the midst of this hurt, anger and uncertainty are building and people are looking into ways to channel out these emotions. Some may be healthy and be of the common good while others may not be. Before jumping to conclusions, there’s need to wait until the facts are known before rushing to judge which would later lead to more harm than good.
Human beings are capable of both love and hate. Let us embrace the former, appreciate life and build of our togetherness as ONE, as human beings.
In the midst of this, I would like to say that;
If you are going through a hard time, taking a life is not the best option. Instead, speak to someone about it, and get help. Let’s not discriminate others based on what they are going through but embrace them and help them get better.
Despite the mode of intervention, they are suffering emotionally during to the horrific attack. We can also take action on this attack and many others across the world. For those praying for Las Vegas, Nevada, thank you if you have not, I urge you to. You are not okay or comfortable praying, you can take action by being kind to others, spreading happiness, mercy, and peace around you. These are just examples, there is more you can do to make the world a better place.
Right now, we need to keep the victims, injured and their families and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
