Make half your plate full of fruits and vegetables. Doctors and medics recommend a daily intake of at least five servings of fruits and vegetables. These servings naturally fill up your stomach and help you cut back on eating unhealthy foods. Fruits and vegetables are low in calories and are packed with vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, minerals and nutrients, thus healthy.

Think again.

They come in different types, colors and sizes. You can play around with these differences and enjoy a cup of fruits and vegetables’ you may create a rainbow on your plate. Due to this mental, many of us need to begin or double up our intake of fruits and vegetables. Instead of snacking on some processed foods; why not snack carrots?

 

Add a fruit to meals as part of main or side dishes or as a dessert.
